Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a fast-paced, running and ball-throwing sport requiring intense cooperation within a ten person team. Before joining lacrosse in High School, I had never played an organized sport. Lacrosse instantly connected me to a good group of friends—some of the smartest kids in the class—and besides training me into the best shape in my life, it helped me to be a team player and work better as a group instead of seeing everyone as individuals. I was captain of the Junior Varsity Team and then Varsity for two years, and twice received attack player of the year and scholar athlete. Lacrosse has also forced me to become more efficient as a person. Practice is three exhausting hours every day after school plus an after-school job makes for a very full day. The method of time efficiency is something I am able to use even during the off-season.

In this picture, I played offense/attack position.
Mostly, I played on the offensive team, but the coach had me play defense and mid-field, too.
